Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any part of the Succour platform, including our website, verification services, and Worker registry, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms of Use apply to all users of the Succour platform, including Employers, institutions, agencies, and diaspora users engaging with Succour's services remotely.

2. About Succour

Succour Support Systems Limited ("Succour", "we", "us", or "our") is a registered company operating Africa's Care Registry — a verified ecosystem that connects trusted Workers with families and institutions. Succour is incorporated in Nigeria and Delaware, United States.

Succour operates as a registry and verification infrastructure provider. We are not an employment agency, staffing firm, or employer of any Worker listed on our platform.

3. Our Services

Succour provides the following services to users:

• Find a Worker — access to a curated registry of verified Workers for families and institutions seeking to hire.
• Verify a Worker — a comprehensive verification service for Care Workers brought by users, resulting in a computed Trust Score® and issuance of a Trust ID®.
• Trust ID® — Africa's first formal credential for care work, issued to verified Workers and listed on the Succour registry.
• Trust Score® — a dynamic score between 0 and 850 reflecting a Care Worker's verified employability, updated over time.

Succour reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice to affected users.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Succour's services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when submitting details for verification or placement requests.
• Use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Use.
• Not misrepresent your identity, the identity of any Worker, or the nature of any care arrangement.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate the Trust Score® methodology or Trust ID® credential system.
• Not use our platform to harass, defraud, or harm any Worker, Succour staff, or any other party.

Succour reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user found in violation of these responsibilities.

5. Verification Services

Succour's verification service is designed to provide a thorough, multi-source assessment of a Worker's identity, background, credentials, references, and reputation. The following applies:

• A preliminary report covering identity verification is delivered shortly after payment is confirmed.
• A final verification report covering safety, credentials, references, and reputation is completed within 5 to 10 working days.
• The Trust Score® assigned is computed from 15 or more verified data points. It is a snapshot at the time of verification and may change over time as new information becomes available.
• Succour does not guarantee employment suitability, future conduct, or the absence of undisclosed information. Our verification reflects the information available and verifiable at the time of the check.
• A Trust ID® is issued only upon successful completion of the verification process. Succour reserves the right to withhold or revoke a Trust ID® where information provided is found to be false or incomplete.

6. Payment and Refunds

All payments for Succour's services are processed securely via Paystack. The following payment terms apply:

• Fees are stated clearly at the point of payment and are inclusive of all applicable charges.
• Payments are accepted in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and United States Dollars (USD) for international users.
• All fees are due in full before verification commences.

If you have a concern about a charge or believe an error has occurred, please contact us at csc@getsuccour.com within 48 hours of payment.

7. Data and Privacy

Succour is committed to handling all personal data in strict compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. The following applies to all data submitted through our platform:

• Personal information submitted for verification purposes — including name, phone number, home address, NIN, and ID documents — is used solely for the purpose of verification and registry operations.
• We do not sell, lease, or share personal data with any third party outside of our verified verification partners engaged to conduct background and credential checks.
• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Users may request deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting us at csc@getsuccour.com. Requests will be processed within 30 days.
• Worker data submitted by a Employer for verification is treated as confidential and used solely for the verification process.

By submitting data through our platform, you confirm that you have the right to provide such data and consent to its use for the purposes described above.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology on the Succour platform are the exclusive property of Succour Support Systems Limited This includes but is not limited to:

• The Succour name, logo, and visual identity.
• The Trust Score® methodology, scoring engine, and output.
• The Trust ID® credential format, design, and issuance system.
• All website content, copy, and design.

No part of the Succour platform may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without the express written consent of Succour Support Systems Limited

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Succour Support Systems Limited shall not be liable for:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, our services.
• Any conduct or actions of Workers verified or listed on the Succour registry.
• Any inaccuracy in verification results arising from false, incomplete, or unavailable information at the time of verification.
• Any loss, theft, damage, or harm caused by a Worker to any person or property.

Succour is a registry and verification service. The employment relationship, if any, is solely between the Employer and the Worker. Succour is not a party to any such arrangement and accepts no liability arising from it.

10. Diaspora Users

Succour's verification service is available to users based outside Nigeria, including those in the United Kingdom, Europe, North America, and Canada, who wish to verify Workers operating within Nigeria.

• Diaspora users may pay in United States Dollars (USD) via Paystack.
• All verification activities are conducted within Nigeria and are subject to Nigerian law.
• Succour makes no representation regarding the enforceability of these Terms in jurisdictions outside Nigeria. Users in other jurisdictions engage with our services on that understanding.
• The no-refund policy applies equally to all users regardless of location.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

For users based outside Nigeria, you agree that by using Succour's services, you submit to Nigerian jurisdiction for matters arising from these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

Succour reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice via email or a prominent notice on our platform. Your continued use of our services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent update.
